This matter has been taken up via video conferencing.
Heard Mr. B. Deb, learned counsel for the petitioner who submits that
this application for restoration of the Writ Petition (Civil) No. 144 of 2016,
which was dismissed for default vide order dated 14.02.2020 has been
preferred inter alia on the ground that on the date when the said writ petition
was dismissed, the learned counsel could not appear before this Court due to
some unavoidable circumstances. However, for ends of justice, it is prayed
that this application be allowed and the WP(C) No. 144 of 2016 be restored
to file.
Dr. N. Mozika, learned ASG appearing for the respondents/Union of
India has no objection to the same.
On consideration of the submission made and for ends of justice, this
Court is inclined to allow this application.

Resultantly, the writ petition bearing WP(C) No. 144 of 2016 is hereby
restored to file.
Matter stands disposed of.
